Salad of the day: Bell flowers

I found this fancy plate at an op shop for 1 € and use it regularly for my summer salads. The lettuce is from my vegetable garden on my porch.
Did you know that you can eat bell flowers? I've just found out. They are looking marvellous and satisfy my fondness of vibrant colours but unfortunately they taste of nothing.
Have a marvellous day full of edible flowers.

  1. No, I had no idea one could safely eat bell flowers, how wonderful to know. What other flower(s) would you say they resemble taste wise?

    1. Hi Jessica, I'm not quite sure if I've understood your question (because of my bad English). The blossoms of the bell flowers are very, very thin and tender and I couldn't recognize any taste at all.
