My collection of hats

Found that brooch at the flea market yesterday and put it on a hat that I bought three years ago at another flea market. Sorry for the bad picture but I took it myself in front of an old mirror that gives the greyish colour.
Doing the shopping for next week I found this fantastic green ribbon to enhance hat and brooch.
Here you can see a part of my hat collection, some are made by me, some are from flea markets and one is from Zara. Do you like them?
Have a colourful day!

Some more yellow china III

Found some more yellow china at the flea market for my growing collection. I was told that the tea pot is from the 50's or 60's. I think that could be right. What do you think?

Painting horses - twice

When I was driving to work this morning I heard this lovely song on the radio. Instantly it spoke to my heart. So I searched the internet and found that it's from the new album "Mimi and me" from a German band called Patty Moon. Hope you like it too.
Beyond touching my heart, the song reminded me of a wonderful post in a great blog called "ann wood". She made 100 movable cardboard horses - every single one has a name itself (go for May 2006) - and there's a "How to ..." with three patterns for download also. For ages I've wanted to make these cardboard horses for me. Maybe this weekend I've got the time.

Nice vintage hats

See this nice collection of vintage fruit hats. It's from the fabulous Tuppence Ha'penny.
My favourite one is number four. This week Tuppence also has advice for vintage beginners.
Have a colourful and fruity day.

Cutest autumnal jewellery

Would like to get every single item from this Dawanda shop. It's too hard to choose one or two out of them. Could you help me to make a decision?

Yellow china II

Searched for more yellow china in my house and found some cute little things at the thrift store yesterday.
I really like yellow cause it's a nice, sunny and positive colour.
Have a colourful and sunny day!

Maple leaves

On my way home I found these nice maple leaves today.
They were from a very special maple tree in a brickstone parsonage.

What can I do with them? - Ok, I'm going to show you my wrist warmers that I knitted a year ago.
 The flowers are crocheted.

These were the first and I got them from my mother as a gift.
What else can I try? - Put them on my fleamarket hat!
Have a colourful day!

Super super super kitschy

What do you think about my new kitchen timer? Isn't it awfully kitschy. I like it anyway.

Aquarius party

One and a half years ago I went to a friends theme party "Aquarius". After reading in Helle Jorgensens fabulous blog Gooseflesh about her crocheted coral gardens, I decided to go as a crocheted coral reef. Of course I took autumn colours for my coral garden hat, my coral necklace and so on.
Also I invented a jellyfish ballet and clownfish Nemo is swimming around my skirt.
Get a glimpse of the ocean bed hat.
Have a colourful and coralful day!

So many green leaves

Today I'll show you my always growing collection of ceramic leaves. Mostly I found them on flea markets and in thrift stores. Some were also regular bought in shops. But they're hard to find. I've collected them for fifteen years.
This one I like best. It was the most expensive and cost 16 €.
This one was regularly bought in Vienna. It's from Christian Tortu.
This one was a gift from my sister in law.
This one I found at a flea market in Vienna. And I like it second best.
There were a lot of these plates in a shop but unfortunately I only bought one.
A gift from friends who don't like it.
 It's a salad bowl.
Looks like the leaf of a cabbage.
Bought at a thrift store for 50 ct.
 Autumn leaves for me.
 A very cheap palm leaf.
Originally it's the saucer for an orange marmalade pot.
 A salad bowl too.
And again a salad bowl.
I think this must have been an ashtray. It's from a Viennese flea market.
I would like to find one like this sometime ...
... or  a pack of antique English plates like these darlings.
Maybe too many green leaves for you. But I use them for salad, fruit or cheese when I have guests. And I like them soooo much!
Have a colourful, green day!

Blue Monday

Yesterday I was a little bit down cause I had a lot of housework at the weekend and got disappointing news at work. So I thought I deserved a good cup of cappucino with cookies and nuts and I treated myself with reading in some favourite books that I bought recently.

Have a colourful, but not "blue" day!

Pizza on Sunday

On Sunday I made pizza for us with three kinds of cheese on it. I hadn't enough mozzarella so I took some leftovers of other cheese.
It tasted delicious and I'll make it again soon.

A friends birthday

On Saturday I went to a friends birthday. I wore my new dragonfly necklace to underline my 1920th inspired outfit. I'll show you pictures later. Also I wore my parrot bag that you saw in a post before and a black faux fur collar.
Cause it's October and the corn harvest is going on, I gave some corn candles to my friend. What do you think about these darlings? I think they're not really beautiful but strange and weird. And I hope she'll like them as much as I. In the end she can burn them down and they're gone anyway. Bought them for myself too because they were half the price.
Have a colourful day!
